Local Acts are cited by calendar year, with the chapter number in Roman numerals i.e. Leicester City Council Act 2006 c.ii

OPSI website - www.opsi.gov.uk - contains Local Acts from 1991 onwards, as originally enacted. These are found under Legislation - UK - Acts.

Hard copy sources

Bound volumes of Local Acts. The Stationery Office and Law Commission have produced various indexes to finding Local Acts, covering the period from 1797 to 1995, which should be consulted if you do not have the full reference.
