IALS / Inner Temple Library Document Supply Service

The Inner Temple Library participates in a scheme whereby legal materials not available in the Inns of Court Libraries may be obtained from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. The IALS Library's resources have previously only been available to the Bar upon payment of a subscription or by obtaining a day pass to visit the library in person. Under this scheme a subscription charge has been paid by the Inn and members will only be charged for copying and transmission. The subscription does not entitle members to visit the IALS personally or to contact them directly.

The charges made by the IALS for this service are as follows:

Standard Service* £15.00 per item
*items ordered before 12 noon will be dispatched later the same day

Express Service* £30.00 per item
*dispatched in under 60 minutes

Requests for materials should be made to the Enquiry Point at the Inner Temple Library, and a copyright declaration must be completed for each request. Response will be by first class post, fax or scan/email as required. Dispatch of materials and invoicing will be done by the Inner Temple Library.
