The Inner Temple Library will reopen on Monday 29 March, 10.00am to 4.00pm.
We are working hard to provide as robust a Library service as possible in these difficult circumstances and are aware of our users’ need for access to legal materials.
In addition, our librarians are available to answer your enquiries via email, Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
This issue includes an announcement regarding the launch of Lawtel on Westlaw UK; our Annual Review for 2020; reflections on providing a remote service during the pandemic, and specifically on the complementarity of online and print resources; and features on new acquisitions and on staff activities during lockdown.

The Library’s Annual Review of activities for 2020 is now available.
A list of New Titles and New Editions received by the Library between October and December 2020 has just been published.
Taking into consideration the current Coronavirus situation, we have decided to close the Library for the foreseeable future. We will continue to monitor the government guidelines and hope to be able to resume library services as soon as we possibly can.
We continue to offer a document delivery service between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday-Friday for barrister members of all four Inns. There will be no charge during the coronavirus situation, but the relevant form (Judicial Proceedings or Private Research) must be completed. The forms are available on our website.
The Library will close for Christmas at 2.00pm on Monday 21 December and reopen at 10.00am on Monday 4 January 2021. This calendar gives the opening hours of all four Inn Libraries over the Christmas vacation.
In the November issue our new Librarian introduces himself and the outgoing Librarian offers a valedictory retrospective. The issue also contains reports on recent induction/training events for the benefit of new students and pupils, and on Library activities during lockdown, and features on law-related TV broadcasts (fiction and non-fiction) and on new acquisitions.

The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting is extending its free access to ICLR Online up to 31 January 2021 to members of the four Inns who are practising barristers based in the UK.
If you are a practising barrister and would like to take advantage of the ICLR offer, please click on this link. This will take you to an online landing page with explanatory material and a form to complete to request remote access.
The Library will continue to open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm, whilst also delivering a free document supply service from 9am to 5pm. Please see our Library Services and Covid-19 page for more details.
