Document Supply Service

Photocopies (subject to copyright) can be sent by scan/email or post to barrister members of all four Inns and to student members of the Inner Temple who are enrolled on a Bar course.

Requests for material for Judicial Proceedings can be made using our online order form.

Requests for material for Private Research can be made by downloading and completing a copyright declaration form, which should bear the personal signature of the ultimate user of the research material.

Hours

The service is available from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday when the Library is open. We will endeavour to provide a same-day service for requests received before 4.00pm. However, it may not be possible to supply documents on the same day if a request is exceptionally large (in terms of the number of pages or items) or if we need to contact you for clarification.

Charges

The current charges are 15p per page.

An administration charge of £5.00 is made for the first item, and £2.50 for each additional item, plus VAT*.

The administration charge for student members is £2.50 for the first item and £1.25 for each additional item, plus VAT*.

An invoice will be sent with the copies. Payment is due within 30 days of receipt and can be made by credit/debit card, BACS or by cheque made payable to the Inner Temple. The Library reserves the right to decline further requests for copies from anyone whose earlier bills are overdue for payment.

* VAT is only charged on orders from the UK.

Institute of Advanced Legal Studies

The Library can also obtain photocopies from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies of legal materials not held by the Inns of Court Libraries. Requests for this service can be made to the Library Enquiry Point.
