Useful Resources

Legal Research FAQs
These guides aim to answer questions frequently asked of the staff at the Inner Temple Library. The sources suggested are not intended to be exhaustive. Rather they are sources that the staff have found to be most useful. They include free web-based sources, hard copy materials and subscription-based databases.

Remote Access to Databases

Lexis is offering pupils complimentary access to Lexis+ Practical Guidance for the duration of their pupillage. Contact farina.sharif@lexisnexis.co.uk giving full name, email address, pupillage start and end dates

In addition the Library has a limited number of logins to Bloomsbury Professional. Contact bloomsbury@innertemple.org.uk to obtain a login.

Document Supply

Photocopies (subject to copyright) can be sent by scan/email or post via our document supply service, available to barrister members of all four Inns and to student members of the Inner Temple who are enrolled on a Bar course.

Keeping Current

Our Current Awareness blog is intended to provide up-to-date information on new case law, changes in legislation, and legal news, which we hope will be of interest to lawyers practising in the UK. Coverage is restricted to England and Wales. The content is selected and updated daily by information professionals on the staff of the Inner Temple Library.

“A must-read for up to date commentary & a great source of interview fodder.”
