Chat and Library Tours

We offer informal tours of the Library with an opportunity to chat with a librarian. Users can ask at the Enquiry Point for a tour, or book a tour by contacting library@innertemple.org.uk Book your tour early to get a choice of freebies from the database suppliers.

Lunchtime Sessions

A series of lunchtime sessions will take place in October to help with your legal research skills.

White Book Training on Westlaw

The Library has organised training on using the White Book on Westlaw via MS Teams. This will take place on Tuesday 10 October from 5.00pm to 5.45pm. Please register your place via this link.

Database Training

On 13 September and 15 November at 5.00pm the Library has organised training on Westlaw. This will be via Teams and attendees will earn Westlaw UK Certification. To attend please register below:

New Students’ Introductory Evenings

The Librarian and Deputy Librarian will be attending the introductory evenings for new students on 19 and 29 September. They will be on the panel of speakers as well as being available to answer questions at the reception.

One-to-One Training

Library staff are available to provide one-to-one training on using databases, researching legal topics, and other aspects of legal research. Enquiries should be sent to library@innertemple.org.uk

Qualifying Sessions

Library staff will be involved in the qualifying sessions on legal research on the 16 September and 18 October. Enquiries about bookings should be made to the Education & Training Department via the website or via Julia Armfield.

Learn for Free
There is a huge amount of free learning materials available online. We have compiled a list of free courses, lectures and other learning resources, from interactive courses spanning several weeks to quick introductory tasters.

Document Supply

We can supply copies of law reports, journal articles and chapters from books to scan/email.  This is available to student members of the Inner Temple who are enrolled on a Bar course.

Our Current Awareness blog is intended to provide up-to-date information on new case law, changes in legislation, and legal news in England and Wales. The content is selected and updated daily by information professionals at Inner Temple Library.
