Student Resources

Welcome new students. Make yourself library ready at the Inner Temple.

Going to a new library can be daunting. To help new students make the best use of the Inner Temple Library we have organised various activities and services to make sure our newest members are Library ready.

Events

The Case of the Missing Law Book

If you prefer a self-guided look around the Library, why not have a go at solving case of the missing law book during September. This self-guided hunt will help you understand how the Library is laid out, and the services we offer. Pick up a leaflet at the Enquiry Point where staff can explain what to do. Once you have completed the trail, you will receive a £5 copying/printing credit valid until 30 June 2025.

Virtual Escape Room

For those who cannot easily come to the Library our online escape room  induction will help you to understand how the Library works. This can be found on our website. The story is based around a famous member of the Inner Temple who is transported from 1920 to the present day and needs your help to get himself ready for court and back to his own time. Those completing the escape room challenge will receive a free gift.

Library Meet and Greet

During September members of the Library team will be at the main Library entrance to welcome new students. They will be handing out useful guides and finding aids and will be happy to answer any questions.

Chat and Library Tours

We offer informal tours of the Library with an opportunity to chat with a librarian. Please ask at the Enquiry Point or book by contacting library@innertemple.org.uk.

New Students’ Introductory Evenings

Library staff will be attending the Introductory Evenings on Tuesday 24 and Friday 27 September. After the panel talks come along to the Library stall and ask your questions and receive a free gift.
